I just got off the phone with RCI after talking to the guy for about an hour and this is what I found out about doing Disney World with RCI.

I have the ticket prices below. We might be able to get them cheaper from somewhere else. The ticket prices I have are directly from Disney. I figure they will at least give us a good idea.

Unfortunately, RCI only has villas available from June 5 – June 12 so we’d have to fly out on a Sunday. Sunday flights are more money than Tuesday, but we don’t really have a choice.

Anyways, here is the info:

Villas:

RCI # 0450 – Sheraton Vistana Resort. The resort is about 11 minutes from Disney World. I believe there is a shuttle. This is as close as we can get with RCI with as many people as we have.

We would have 3 – 2 bedroom villas. 1 of the villas sleeps up to 6 and the other two sleep up to 8. We could do something different, but the cost isn’t hugely different. This would allow us to have our own rooms and stuff.

Flights:

Tyler and Elise can do either flight below. The top one would require them to do 2 park and fly hotels. The bottom one, they might only need one, but they’d have to leave really early unless they can stay at a friend’s house or something.

The rest of us would leave from Sacramento. The flights from Sac are a lot cheaper:

I’d be happy with this flight, but we wouldn’t get to Orlando until really late, basically missing a whole day. We’d also be leaving really early to come home, so kind of missing that day as well.

This flight, we wouldn’t leave until Midnight, so we’d make the most of our day, but we’d be pretty tired when we got there. Also, we’re still coming home pretty early.

The cool thing about both flights is that they are leaving from Sacramento and we wouldn’t need any park and fly hotels so this would save a lot of money.

Cost:

The King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel  is located in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.

This resort is not all-inclusive and does not have kitchenettes. The rooms do have refrigerators though.

Because this hotel is not all-inclusive we would need to figure out the food situation.

We would also need to include food. I would say that $200 per family would be fair so there would need to be an additional $1,000 budgeted. The grand total would be $10,046.

The Gran Bahia Principe Coba resort is an all-inclusive resort located in Akumal which is just South of Playa del Carmen and only 9 miles North of the Tulum Ruins.

The resort is ranked #1 out of 17 hotels in Akumal on Tripadvisor.com

The resort has 9 bars, 6 restaurants and 2 pools.
